Best Buy Releases Additional Doorbuster Deal
This morning Best Buy released some additional information about their doorbuster items. First, they added a new doorbuster that will be available in-store only. November 23rd-28th Black Friday Contest
We have been running daily contests throughout the month of November on our Black Friday fan page on Facebook. We've had a lot of fun with them so we're going to start a new contest today which will run for the entire week. The grand prize will be an Apple 15.6" MacBook Pro which is sponsored by our friends at MacMall.com. We also plan to give away 100 other prizes including gaming consoles, netbooks, video games and gift cards.

To enter, create a shopping list on BlackFriday.info and put the items that you plan to purchase in it. Then, once the products become available (either in store or online), purchase the items and submit your name, order number, final purchase price and your email address to us via our contact form. Please note that it is possible to enter if you don't plan to go out shopping on Black Friday (see below). Once the contest has ended, we will randomly select winners from all entries that we receive. The winners will then be announced on Friday December 4th on BlackFriday.info.

November 15th-17th Black Friday Contest
Over the past two weeks we have been running daily contests which were limited to Facebook fans only. However, we have teamed up with Sears to offer a slightly different kind of contest with two parts. This contest will run for the next three days.

Part 1:
To enter, just take a picture of yourself holding a BlackFriday.info sign while standing in front of Sears. You can also enter by taking a picture of yourself and a store employee (who must be wearing a Sears shirt) inside of Sears while holding a BlackFriday.info sign. We are limiting this to the first 200 entries or 48 hours (which ever comes first), so please be sure to submit your entry as soon as possible. Here is an example picture:

OfficeMax Black Friday Ad Removed
Update (10/23/2009): OfficeMax's legal representatives have asked that the ad be taken offline. As we mentioned earlier, the ad was an early pre-release sample that was taken from a PowerPoint presentation. Since the items and prices are subject to change, and to prevent visitor/buyer confusion, we are cooperating with this cease & desist and have removed the OfficeMax ad temporarily.

Previous Post (10/22/2009): We've received confirmation from a few anonymous sources that the OfficeMax Black Friday ad is indeed real. The ad scan we were given was an early pre-release that was included as part of recent PowerPoint presentation that was given to various people. The final version of the ad might differ slightly from the version we received, but most of the items listed should be on sale. To further confirm that this is real, we've heard that local OfficeMax stores have been stocking up on some of the items mentioned in the ad. Also, this year OfficeMax will be launching an "As Seen On TV" end cap, which would explain the unusual inclusion of the Snuggie and Slap Chop food processor. We were anonymously sent what looks like a pre-release of the OfficeMax Black Friday ad earlier today. This ad scan appears to be partially correct, with the first three pages having decent deals on printers, digital cameras, computer accessories, and laptops. However, the fourth page looks to be fake, with items such as the Snuggie and the Slap Chop on sale. We want to be clear that this is strictly a rumor and we can not confirm that these deals are 100% accurate quite yet. However, we wanted to pass this info on for those of you that are interested in the OfficeMax Black Friday ad.

Black Friday Update, Walmart $10 Toys
There is a lot of excitement building over this year's black friday ads so we wanted to give you an update on what you can expect over the next month and a half. First, we have heard reports that some of the Walmart $10 toys are starting to appear on the shelves at your local Walmart. On their website, they currently have 30 toys listed under the $10 special and we expect that they will continue to add more as we get closer to black friday.

Regarding the black friday ads, typically we would have one or two additional ads by now. However, we have heard rumors that retailers are putting new security measures in place to prevent the ads from leaking early. Even with the extra security in place, we still expect to receive at least two new black friday ads by the end of the month, followed by daily updates of new black friday ads throughout the month of November.

Walmart To Offer 100 Toys For $10 This Holiday Season
A recent article by CNN says that Walmart plans to offer 100 toys for $10 this holiday season. The $10 toy list includes "newly released toys, top brands and classic toys that shoppers seek out each holiday season." Some of the toys will be sold for $10 and others listed below will be reduced up to 50% off the current price. A partial list of the brands being offered is:

Rumored Nintendo Wii Console Price Drop To $199.99
